By accessing or using PDFModule ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
PDFModule provides a deterministic PDF generation API that allows users to create PDF documents programmatically. The Service includes:
- API access for PDF generation
- Template management and versioning
- Document storage (duration varies by plan)
- SDKs for various programming languages
3. Account Registration
To use the Service, you must:
- Create an account with a valid email address
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Be at least 18 years old or have parental consent
- Provide accurate and complete information
You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
4. API Usage
Your use of the API is subject to:
- Rate limits as specified in your plan
- Monthly PDF generation limits as specified in your plan
- Fair use policies for shared resources
Abuse of the API, including attempts to circumvent rate limits or excessive resource usage, may result in account suspension.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to use the Service to:
- Generate illegal or fraudulent documents
- Create content that infringes on intellectual property rights
- Distribute malware or malicious content
- Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
- Overload or disrupt the Service infrastructure
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
6. Pricing and Payment
The Service offers various pricing tiers:
- Free: Limited usage for testing and development
- Production: For production applications with moderate usage
- Compliance: Enhanced features for regulated industries
- Enterprise: Custom solutions for large organizations
Prices are subject to change with 30 days notice. Usage exceeding plan limits may result in service restrictions until the next billing cycle.
7. Data and Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of data as described therein.
8. Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of all content and templates you create using the Service. PDFModule retains ownership of the Service, including all software, APIs, and documentation.
9. Service Availability
We strive to maintain 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance with reasonable notice when possible.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PDFMODULE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES.
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PDFModule from any claims arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
12. Termination
Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. Upon termination:
- Your access to the Service will be revoked
- Your data will be deleted according to our data retention policy
- Any outstanding payments remain due
13. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which PDFModule operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
